Skeå Creative Connect Event website for Arctic Games
Skeå Creative Connect is an annual event by Arctic Games that brings together creatives, developers, and innovators from across industries for a day of talks, workshops, and unexpected collaborations. My task was to design a dedicated event page that felt like its own thing — while still living within Arctic Games' existing visual identity.
My Approach
I started from the existing brand elements: angular graphic shapes in various colours. From there, I pushed them in a more playful, expressive direction. Using AI as a tool, I transformed the sharp shapes into something soft and fluffy — adding an unexpected, almost tactile quality to the design. The client loved the direction, and the idea took on a life of its own: they ended up producing physical cushions shaped like the fluffy forms for use at the event itself — on stage sofas and around the venue. A fun moment where digital design crossed over into the physical world.
We also introduced additional colours into the palette — including a deep forest green — to give Creative Connect its own visual voice within the broader Arctic Games family.
The Result
The final site is fresh, expressive, and full of personality — while staying clear and easy to navigate. The focus was on presenting the day's schedule and making it immediately obvious where each talk or workshop was taking place. Clarity was key. A layout that gives you the full picture, fast.
The Brief
The site needed to reflect Arctic Games' graphic profile, but with its own distinct personality. Creative Connect had to feel fresh and a little unexpected — like a creative offshoot of the main brand rather than just another subpage.
Animation & Motion
To give the hero section a modern, playful feel, we chose to make it animated. An animator brought the dark green fluffy shape to life, morphing it between forms — creating something that felt a little alive and a little unexpected, which was exactly the tone we were going for.
